I decided to buy my cats a felt cave being that they are super picky about cat beds and couldn’t have made a better choice. They all take turns using it and I love that it is diverse; they can either go in the cave or lay on top. One of my cats especially is obsessed. It’s his new hangout spot, he has now decided to hog the felt cave haha. It’s very easy to clean and it doesn’t loose its shape even if it’s flattened. Highly recommend! I have 4 cats and they all love it! Not only do they use it to sleep but also to play hide and seek. Multifunctional and it will not disappoint! If you’re a cat owner it’s a must!

This is a great overall quality kitty hideout. At first I wasn't sure if it was going to be big enough for my hefty gal. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and Kokonut climbed right in without issues. Nicely made, soft and comfy!

I bought this for my 10 pound, 1.5 year old rescue Percy<3 I followed the instructions and stuffed it tight with others blankets/packaging etc for about a day or so to give the circular shape some integrity. My cat loves it! As soon as I put it out for him he immediately jumped inside and made himself at home. We have it centrally located in our house so he snuggles up in his bed when he wants to be near us but not in the mood for cuddles. I would recommend to anyone who’s cat loves safe, comfy places to sleep or people watch!

I was worried that my cats wouldn't be able to fit through the opening of the Feltcave. I was wrong! As soon as we unpacked the one we initally ordered, one of my larger cats went right inside. After that, my husband insisted we order three more. We did order the medium beds, and I think they would be appropriate for all but the largest breeds. The red and blue one is my favorite of the colors we chose. (It's quite pretty.) I also appreciate the little extra surprise toy that came with each bed. I'd like to thank the folks at Feltcave for their quality products, that they participate in a fair trade agreement, and also something I always look for, the sign of the amazon smile program. Not the way we planned.
We purchased this for our screwball cat thinking he’d love it. He’s 5yrs and was raised with several dogs. We’re not sure he knows he’s a cat! It sat around for months. We tried putting him in it several times… along with some catnip toys, but he couldn’t wait to escape.Gave it to our daughter for her 7mo cat. She LOVED IT….both daughter AND female cat! *shrug At least it is being used now! The cat has to be coaxed out especially when it’s cold outside.Seems like a high quality product! We had one dog try to destroy it. She pounced on it, chewed it, tossed it around a bunch (no cat inside), and it didn’t show a single sign of abuse. Impressive!

My big boy, a 22 lb longhair tabby mix, saw a medium size kitty cave that I bought for a friend's cat and was very interested in it. He tried to climb in a few times, only succeeding with getting his head and shoulders in. I could see he really wanted to get in that cave so I searched around and finally found one that would fit him.As soon as I unpacked it and put it on the floor he hopped in without hesitation and made himself at home. This cave is very roomy, even for a very large cat. My sweet boy is in cat heaven now! He likes his complimentary mouse giftie, too. Thank you Feltcave folks for making an extra large cave for big kitties to enjoy also. A big thumbs up from both of us!

Ahhh!
When I first got this cave I set it up and left it there for my Tux to climb into. I'd later find it all pushed down and flat so, scratching my head, I'd fluff it all up again for her to climb into and then later I'd find it all squished down again. Finally I got it! She didn't want to be in it, she wanted to lie on it. This is her rub-my-belly position on her favorite cave - I mean cushion. Definitely a hit even if it's not being used as intended.

Really nice quality, and thick wool walls. It doesn’t smell chemical-y or artificial like it was made in a factor by machines; it feels and smells like real wool which the cats love. Was also pleased that my large cats were able to easily fit in the normal sized cave. If I needed another or I had to replace this one at any point, I’d buy it from here for sure!

The minute I took it out of the bag and while I was trying to “fluff up” the cave for her due to it being compact for delivery, my 5 month old cat was all over it; rubbing, clawing, and playing with it.I threw it down on the couch and she jumped in immediately. I think she spent 10 mins of the first 2 hours of it setup outside to collect her toys and being it into the cave.I was surprised how much she loved it. I don’t know what it is, but there is something with the material cats love - supported by the reviews I’ve read.Worth the $ if you love your kittens.

My cat loves this cat cave! I was a bit worried that she wouldn’t fit because she is a Maine Coon mix and a bit larger than the average cat, but she popped right in and curled up. She also LOVES the mouse toy that came with it. It’s her new favorite toy. And now she has a comfy place to curl up when she wants to be alone. :)

Great cave for formally feral cats
I wanted to purchase 2 felted "cat caves" since first seeing them several years back, but the $120+ price was a bit too rich, even for our pampered fur babies. Now, the general price point has been lowered by at least 50%, and THIS company blows the rest out of the water! It seems to be upstanding in terms of their workers and pure materials... so I purchased one.And holy-heck: one of my cats hangs out in it almost all day, and when she isn't, the other cat lays ON it & smooshes it so her sister cannot get into it. :::sigh::: So yes, I will be purchasing another one!Bonus points: The felted mouse "cat toy" they sent along with the cave is amazing! WAY better than the other mouse toys I have bought in 3/6packs from Petsmart/Petco, etc... This toy mouse actually was made with care- it is also felted, and has lighter grey spots on its back! pricey but worth the money
my cat loves the feltcave! the material is very thick so will keep them warm and cosy! my cat goes inside but also loves to sit and sleep on top of it with it flattened. he also goes crazy for the mice (although i carefully cut off the beads used as eyes just in case) we have about 5 mice toys with 3 in current play and 2 kept away as he has gotten them all out of the toy box at once before. I can definitely see myself getting more in the future and maybe another feltcave!

for whatever reason, cats love these little hiding places...might take them 5 or 10 minutes to inspect them before entering, but once they do, they go back to it day after day.

Our Cats Love It
We bought one bed to see if any of our five cats would like it. Yesterday we ordered a second bed because three of them rotate--if one gets up or out, the next one takes over. They also rotate between going inside the little cave and settling in on top of it. The cat in the picture is about 7 or 8 lbs., but our 10 lb. cat fits just as well, and the kitten is in heaven with all of the space she has to play in and on.I really hesitated to buy the cave because of the price and our cats' tendencies to ignore things like this, but they proved us wrong. They love this little cave!I haven't had to clean it yet, so I can't speak to that or its durability, but it seems very well made.

Okay so...I bought this HOPING my cat would use it because she likes to hide. I knew she didn't use cat beds. Like ever. She never plays in boxes. She's 16 but looks/acts like an anxious 7 yr old cat.Six months ago, we moved from the apartment we had for 12 years to a house - which also had another cat (I inherited the 'new' one). New cat is chill but apparently wasn't happy about another cat and she initially hissed at my curious but skittish girl. That's all it took for my cat to not engage with the other cat & mine stays in the bedroom now. Until recently, she liked to hide/sleep under the bed, especially when I wasn't in the room. But now she is scared of it for unknown reasons and she's claimed an uncomfortable spot to hide.So...I order the Feltcave as a solution (hopefully). It came super fast (yay!). It's nice and thick and I know it'll last a lonnnnng time. It's a cool shape, organic looking in nature, so it fits with the aesthetic of the house. I put it out, rubbed a bit of catnip on/in it, and waited. She definitely checked it out, stuck her head in, sniffed, and then...that was it. Sigh.I've had it out as a hiding option for her but she's yet to try it. I want her to try it. I can see her feeling safe and cozy in it. She's been through a lot of change recently so I'm not putting her in it (that would stress her out). I'll give it more time but soon, the other cat will get her shot at it (and she will probably claim it).I will say...if your cat(s) like hiding holes & cat beds, they'll like this, too. And it's really nice looking and good quality, so you'll like it, too. But if you're not sure if your cat/kitten would like anything like the Feltcave, maybe start with something simple and very inexpensive (box with a hole and a blanket/cushion?) because this has a larger price tag. I feel the pricing is definitely *not* excessive for what you get but maybe it's a bit much if your cat(s) wants absolutely nothing to do with it.

I have had a stray cat that I have vetted and had spayed but refuses to be inside my home. So I ordered this feltcace cat bed for my porch. Within 10 minutes this catxwas inside. I had tried another bed and blanket as well as car carrier with blanket but she would have nothing to do with them. This is fabulous and cozy. Now I will be as worried this winter about her. It's very thick wool and very sturdy. Lots of color choices. Got a free wool mouse toy with order too. She loves it all!

As soon as I took it out of the box one of my cats was inside of this bed/cave and so content. Its a nice, quality bed...thick, durable looking, and no weird smell. I can't wait until my other cat sees it and tries to squish in there with him!! I would get a second one, so they would each have their own, but I know my big bubbies like to sleep on top of each other and squished together.

I have finally reclaimed my bed!
Ever since I adopted my cat she has taken over my bed. She usually sleeps at the bottom of my feet or between my legs. I was a bit skeptical because my cat usually sleeps in the closet or on my bed. But I am glad I decided to try out the feltcave. She has slept in it the whole night and hasn't gone on my bed. I can sleep without worrying that I'll accidentally kick her.

We have tried countless “cat beds” only to have the cats sleep in the box they came in instead. This one was different! It is used every single day here! Love that if can be used as a “cave” or smushed down as a little cot. The cats have figured out how to switch it on their own: if they want it opened back up they squeeze their little heads in lol. We are going to purchase another and use them in their carriers during our upcoming 14 hour drive!

My cat for some reason prefers to squish it and sleep on top, but he loooooves this thing. It is natural wool, so it doesn't produce static electricity like synthetic materials, so I think that's why my cat likes this better than his other nests.

Very nicely made cat pod
The pod I received is adequately thick and holds it's shape as long as one of my critters doesn't step on it. It doesn't just collapse all by itself. I have four cats that have grown up in my house and are very curious about any new thing I bring in. They have all, at different times, taken a look, a couple have climbed in and thoroughly checked it out, but only one really loves sleeping in it. He prefers to climb in when he thinks nobody is watching. He's also my smallest cat. The biggest cat probably wouldn't fit through the hole. I would say that this pod would work nicely for up to a 15-lb cat. If your cat is bigger, and/or big barreled, he'd have to be the type that wouldn't mind scraping his sides along the opening to get in. I think that bothers my biggest cat. Even if only one of my cats ever uses them, I plan to buy a couple more (I have two now) so I can have one of a different color in each room the cats like to nap in--mainly because they are just so fun and it always makes us smile to see that little face looking out at us. I forget what life was like before the cave
This is one of those things that cats somehow know exactly how to use without any training. I took it out of the package and set it on the floor and immediately one of my cats went right inside. As soon as she left my other cat dashed inside. For days now, it has been a chaotic dance over which cat gets to be inside the cave. They truly love it! I had thrown the cave on top of my bed while vacuuming and tried to lift it later and there was a cat inside. They will go in this cave no matter where it is! My cats are friends but not super cuddly so they haven't shared the cave yet. You might want to consider multiple caves if that's the case for you as well!

We knew our cat would love this pod, but I was worried about the entrance placement. He loves watching us from his little cat houses, so I was worried he wouldn’t be able to look at us while lounging, but as you can see from the photo it’s perfect. It’s a little crinkled but I just realized I should have probably washed it first so that might be my problem. It’s thick without being absurdly thick if that makes sense. He doesn’t care for cushions or pillows so the base is sturdy for him to feel like he’s laying on the ground, but the thickness of the felt will hold in body heat. I did throw a towel on top to make the entrance smaller, I do wish it wasn’t so big so he can feel like he’s hiding. Other than minor personal complaints, my boys love this and the mouse that came with it! I’m so surprised about the mouse! If toys don’t rattle or have catnip they usually ignore them. They’ve been fighting over this thing all day!

Great quality and my cats love it! One on my cats literally drags it around the house to lay on it wherever we are. They do bite on it a bit but it’s lasted pretty good so far. I might be able to brush the wool back if they break it so not big worries. It’s pricy but totally worth it. We will be bringing it on our next travel so they can have a piece from home that they can sleep in.
